Chris RolingJun 1, 2015

Nike returns to the Elite Series one last time Friday with the "Rose Gold" collection.

Bathed in scorching reds, blacks and oranges, these colorways of the LeBron 12 Elite, Kobe X Elite and KD7 Elite are the perfect precursor to a warm summer.

Here are the release details to know, via Nike's official website:

Moving left to right, the latest iteration of Kevin Durant's newest shoe is hard to miss, bathed in its "Classic Charcoal" and "Hot Lava" with the fresh perforations along the side.

SneakerMob.com provides a close look at the sneaker, including a close-up on the lava tips and swoosh:

Of course, Durant's shoe has some serious competition.

This is especially the case from Bryant's newest kick, featuring its own "Hot Lava" with "Metallic Red Bronze" for good measure. Not only is it a looker from the sides, the bottom provides a sleek, translucent look with an eye-catching design near the back:

Like Durant's offering, there's little doubt the new Kobe X will perform well on the hard court.

In case anyone was wondering, though, they look great off the court, too, as Bryant showcased back in April, via KobeTeam.com:

Then there's the new LeBron 12, sure to also shine in both areas. The Nike link above places an emphasis on the on-court side of things:

"The shoe now features six visible, independent Nike Zoom Air units that provide low profile, responsive cushioning. The strategic placement of the pods is engineered for James's explosiveness and his multidirectional movement."

SneakerBarDetroit provides a closer look on Instagram:

It's hard to go wrong with any of the three designs although collectors may want to go ahead and grab all of them.

After all, Nike seems to have saved the best for last when it comes to this particular collection, one continuing the innovative design to help evolve the shoe game and personal stories behind the inspiration.

The latest iterations of the LeBron 12 Elite, Kobe X Elite and KD7 Elite only help to keep things moving in a positive direction when it comes to sneaker innovation.

Sneakerheads can get with the times or even complete the collection when the shoes drop Friday.
