Although many will say LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love are the Cleveland Cavaliers' "Big Three," James is already part of a trio that has some history together.
James, Mike Miller and James Jones were all teammates with the Miami Heat from 2010 to 2013. Those Heat teams featured a "Big Three" of James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. James, Jones and Miller made three trips to the NBA Finals together in Miami, walking away with two rings. (James and Jones are about to play in their fifth consecutive Finals together.)
Miller signed with the Memphis Grizzlies after the 2012-13 season, leaving James and Jones behind in Miami. The three players reunited when each joined the Cavaliers last summer.
The trio is now preparing to play in yet another NBA Finals together. As a result, James had some fun with the "Big Three" moniker after the Cavaliers won the Eastern Conference Finals, per Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon Journal:
LeBron James wandered across the locker room holding a champagne bottle in his left hand when he wrapped each of his arms around Mike Miller and James Jones.
"The big three," he whispered quietly before taking a swig of champagne.
Love and Irving may be the bigger names, but Jones and Miller have been through so much more with James.
