John Wall Reportedly Kicked Off Airplane in Las Vegas After Alleged Incident
Washington Wizards point guard John Wall enjoyed a trip to Las Vegas after his season reached its conclusion in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, but the two-time All-Star's vacation wasn't without controversy.
According to TMZ, Wall and his friends were reportedly removed from an American Airlines flight scheduled to go from Las Vegas to Washington, D.C., when somebody from Wall's group allegedly got into a verbal altercation with another passenger. A member of the flight crew called the police for help, and they boarded the plane to handle the situation. TMZ reports that the passenger declined to press charges, although the police did escort Wall and his friends off the plane.
Wall has yet to comment on the situation, although he did post a photo on Twitter of himself and his friends prior to their flight to Vegas:
Based on TMZ's account of what happened, Wall wasn't personally involved in the incident on the plane, so his positive reputation likely won't take a hit.
The point guard fought through a broken hand to very nearly lead the Wiz to the Eastern Conference Finals, and he will be the driving force behind the team next season as well.
He likely gained a great deal of respect across the league for the manner in which he handled his injury, and one alleged incident off the court shouldn't do much to change that.
