Nike goes back to where it all started Saturday with the release of the Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Varsity Red" to celebrate 30 years of dominance.
Sneakerheads aren't the only ones who will recognize the familiar white, black and varsity red combination, a timeless trio that continues to span generations.
Here are the release details to know, via Nike's official website:

HYPEBEAST provides a fun look at the fresh kicks in a fitting environment:
Folks know the deal with the Chicago Bulls-inspired colorway, of course highlighted by the swoosh on the side and the Nike Air on the tip of the tongue.
Nice Kicks zooms in on those features:
The feel-good vibes coming from a classic don't stop there.
Sneaker Bar Detroit provides an all-encompassing look, including a top-down view and the backside:
There's a lot that's sure to catch the eye, although the classic perforations at the front of the shoe stand out from the top-down angle, as does the Nike Air on the inside. The back features the familiar tab design with a white and black stripe running around the shoe.
Sneaker Assist provides a look at the legend out in the wild:
"Legend," of course, is the lone way to describe Saturday's release.
Some 30 years ago, most basketball kicks splashed black and white on a design and called it a day. Along came Nike and Michael Jordan, forever changing the kicks game, both thanks to the innovative design and Jordan's budding career.
There are a lot of rereleases and trips down memory lane on the market these days, but this one is the original, or as Nike fittingly puts it, the "OG."
So no, next weekend isn't any normal shoe release. It's the return of a legend, and sneakerheads can be a part of it with the Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Saturday.
