Stephen Curry Sets NBA Single Postseason 3-Point Record

Add another line to Stephen Curry’s incredible 2014-15 resume.

The league MVP passed sharpshooter Reggie Miller Saturday for the most three-pointers in a single NBA postseason. The NBA passed along the stat, while Bleacher Report offered some congratulations for the 2014-15 MVP:

The NBA also shared the highlight of the record-breaking shot, and it was appropriately well behind the three-point line over the outstretched arms of Jason Terry. Curry has made a living from that deep throughout the year:

Curry finished the game with 40 points, to which head coach Steve Kerr said, per the team's Twitter feed, that “Steph was Steph. He’s the MVP … His shooting is hard to describe."

Assuming Golden State eventually capitalizes on its 2-0 lead in the series with the Rockets, Curry will have a number of additional games to add to his record. He shot 44.3 percent from deep during the regular season and is known for his lightning-quick release and ability to create shots off the dribble from seemingly no space at all.

It is difficult to envision that pattern coming to an end for the rest of the postseason, so Curry should put up a seemingly unbeatable mark by the end of the Finals. He will certainly take that, but he and the rest of the Warriors are probably more concerned with finishing off their incredible season with the Larry O’Brien Trophy as the NBA champion.
