Nike Air Jordan Spizike 'Cool Grey' Release Date Schedule, Pics and Retail Price

The Jordan Spizike returns Wednesday with the "Cool Grey" iteration of the sleek modern design.

"Wolf Grey" came out last December to lofty praise, so Nike thought it wise to dip back into the well with a darker offering splashed with blacks, whites and grays just in time for summer.

Like the colorways before it, the "Cool Grey" combines several prior Jordan iterations, this time slapping it with a paint-like design and elephant print to sleek results.

Sometimes, a certain design of shoe has one too many iterations, even giving the biggest of sneakerheads a bit of fatigue and looking elsewhere for their fix. It's a tightrope companies must be careful to balance. 

This isn't one of those cases.

In fact, some may argue this is the best offering of the Jordan Spizike to date—a head-turning shoe splashed with modern design and the comfort to wear anywhere but the performance to take the hard court, too. It also fits well with the scorching heat of summer on approach.

Sometimes, the best comes last no matter how many came before.
