Wizards Backcourt Avoids Huge Blow
Wall is an essential piece of the puzzle as the Wizards attempt to assert themselves as contenders in the weaker Eastern Conference. He's shown a willingness to take on more of a playmaker role as the team's added depth, but he can still be more of a scorer when called upon.
He entered the season after working during the summer to overcome a fractured left wrist. It was the guard's first notable injury since being held to just 49 games during the 2012-13 campaign because of a knee problem.
If Wall is limited in his return, Ramon Sessions figures to pick up most of the additional minutes at point guard for Washington. Garrett Temple and Gary Neal could also see an uptick in usage alongside Bradley Beal in the backcourt.
