LeBron James Shutting Himself Off from Social Media for Duration of Playoffs

Jake SilverApr 21, 2015

LeBron James has a legacy to complete, and a third NBA championship ring is within grasp. According to the King, that means there's no room for distractions.

So he's going dark.

"I don't have no phones, no social media, I don't have anything," LeBron told The Associated Press (h/t Fox Sports). "I don't care about nonsense. There's too much nonsense out there. Not during this time, this is when I lock in right now and I don't need nothing creeping into my mind that don't need to be there."

For the fourth straight year, the world must adapt to a social media-less LeBron throughout the duration of the NBA playoffs. There is, however, one outlet LeBron will use to give fans a glimpse inside of his world.

Bleacher Report's Uninterrupted is the first platform to share original, uninfluenced, athlete-driven content in real time throughout the NBA postseason. LeBron will periodically share his thoughts here and only here.

Here's one of his latest videos, to give you an idea:

You can follow his Uninterrupted videos here or by following @uninterrupted on Twitter. Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors will partake as well.

Will LeBron's social media solitude prove effective? We'll just have to wait and see.
