Bontemps: Teletovic Full Practice Participant
Friday, Apr. 17
According to Tim Bontemps of the New York Post, Teletovic was a full participant in the Nets' practice session Friday:
Teletovic hasn't played in a game since January 22 against the Los Angeles Clippers. He was diagnosed with multiple blood clots in his lungs and was expected to miss the remainder of the season.
According to a statement from Nets general manager Billy King, per NBA.com, Teletovic "has been cleared to resume basketball-related activities." King also noted that the 29-year-old is going "to be listed as OUT (sic)" for the team's playoff games barring some change.
The Nets clinched a playoff berth on the final day of the regular season despite a 38-44 record, securing a matchup with the Atlanta Hawks that begins Sunday. Teletovic's presence on the bench will be missed, as he averaged 8.5 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.
However, seeing Teletovic move closer to full strength and able to resume some aspects of his career could provide a nice mental boost for the Nets in the postseason.
