Hinrich Will Play in Game 3

Thursday, April 23

K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reported that Hinrich will play Thursday night.

On April 11, Nick Friedell of ESPNChicago.com reported Hinrich hyperextended his left knee and would be unable to return in the Bulls' 114-107 win over the 76ers.

Entering the game, the 34-year-old was averaging 5.8 points and 2.3 assists, both of which are career lows. According to Basketball-Reference.com, Hinrich is also posting the lowest true shooting percentage (.468) and player efficiency rating (6.8).

Injuries have plagued the Bulls all season, particularly with Jimmy Butler and Derrick Rose. Although the impact of Hinrich's injury paled in comparison to missing either Butler or Rose, having the veteran back in the postseason rotation gives Chicago an added layer of depth.
