Nike Air Jordan 11 Retro Low 'Georgetown' Release Date Schedule, Pics and Retail

Brian MaziqueApr 9, 2015

Wild colorways are OK in sneakers, but sometimes, a little less is more.

The Nike Air Jordan 11 Retro Low "Georgetown" edition deliver in this regard. The newest color option for the 11s will be released on Saturday, April 11. The sneakers will retail for a suggested price of $170 for men's sizes but will also will be available in full family sizing, per Renz Ofiaza of Kicks on Fire.

The price for smaller sizes will be scaled back accordingly. The Kicks on Fire Twitter account gives a glimpse of the shoe:

The Air Jordan 11 design is one of my favorites from the series. When you blend in the midnight navy blue patent-leather overlay and the grey mist with white laces, you can almost see Patrick Ewing rocking these in some alternate universe where the Georgetown Hoyas great wore Jordans.

The old Nike Terminators that had a Georgetown edition with "Hoyas" written on the back are classic hoops sneakers. This new take on the Jordan 11s is an awesome blend of the two designs.

A side image, which also comes from Kicks on Fire, shows off the gleam of the patent leather. Here's an inside and outside look:

The white midsole that is accented by the ice block and partially transparent outsole puts the shoe totally over in my book.

Sneaker Bar Detroit tweeted this image that shows the shoe from every other relevant angle:

Perhaps one of the most underrated aspects is the translucent bottom of the midsole that appears to have the Jumpman logo under ice. It makes you want to kick your feet up just to show off one of the shoes' best characteristics.

The $170 price tag probably won't scare off sneakerheads and hardcore Jordan fans. For those who have a taste for a sleek, basic and stylish retro sneaker, this rehash on a winning design is likely going to be a must-have.

If you're planning on copping these, you should probably be searching hard for a raffle ticket at your nearest retailer. I have a feeling supplies might be limited on this classic design.
