Daily Fantasy Basketball 2015: NBA DraftKings Ideal Lineup Picks for April 6
It is the busiest opening day in baseball history, so naturally it is a great time to play daily fantasy basketball, albeit a rare Monday-Tuesday three-game combo. DFS is all about zigging when others are zagging. We're here to help you with picks to set your ideal NBA lineup for Monday, April 6 at DraftKings, which includes the first two 7 p.m. ET games from Tuesday.
PG Deron Williams, Brooklyn Nets ($6,600)
Williams has played some better basketball of late, averaging almost 35 DraftKings points in his past six games over the past 10 days. The busy schedule has worked wonders for a point guard who had struggled with injury and continuity in the middle of the season. At least with Williams, you know you won't be picking someone who is resting up for the postseason.
- Damian Lillard, Portland Trail Blazers ($7,600)
- Jeff Teague, Atlanta Hawks ($5,800)
SG Dwyane Wade, Miami Heat ($6,800)
We score Wade on a lowered price here, perhaps because of his awful output Thursday, dragging his price down. With the Heat competing for a playoff spot, the likelihood of a DNP is lessened with the aged veteran. They need him in the lineup and at peak production. We like Wade to get 30 minutes, 30-plus DraftKings points at a nice price.
- Bojan Bogdanovic, Brooklyn Nets ($3,500)
- Gerald Green, Phoenix Suns ($3,400)
SF Demarre Carroll, Atlanta Hawks ($5,500)
He has enjoyed some big performances of late, but it hasn't impacted his price much yet. With the Hawks having clinched the Eastern Conference, Carroll is a candidate to be rested, but the fact the Hawks are playing at home and can generate some postseason buzz and momentum has us thinking this won't be a night to sit. It also helps the Phoenix Suns are 28th on DraftKings against small forwards.
- P.J. Tucker, Phoenix Suns ($5,000)
- Earl Clark, Brooklyn Nets ($3,000)
PF Brandan Wright, Phoenix Suns ($5,200)
Wright has been a daily fantasy revelation when Alex Len (nose) has been out, which he should be Tuesday night, per NBA.com. Wright will get 30-plus minutes, a valuable stat considering the amount of players in "operation shutdown" this time of year. We are looking for double digits in points and rebounds here, too.
- Markieff Morris, Phoenix Suns ($6,000)
- Marcus Morris, Phoenix Suns ($5,400)
C Brook Lopez, Brooklyn Nets ($8,000)
This Lopez has played some of his best basketball in the second half, so you should feel confident riding him despite his higher price. The options among the elite are thin in this Monday-Tuesday combo game at DraftKings, so it shouldn't be that much stress on the budget to line up the double-double coming from this big man.
- Hassan Whiteside, Miami Heat ($7,100)
- Al Horford, Atlanta Hawks ($6,000)
