Foot Locker EU provides a look at the new take on a classic design:

Resting on top of an ice-blue sole is a leather top made for comfort, with metallic silver and black sweeping throughout the design. The blue on the translucent outside of the sole will serve to prevent yellowing from usage and adds a dash of North Carolina blue to great effect.

The "23" logo rests on the side of the heel, with the Jumpman on the bottom for good measure. The tongue's reflective quality isn't too over the top for the classic look.

Twitter user Shirley Lin offered a look at the underside of the slick design in February:

Shoe City provided another angle to show off a more complete look:

The above angle showcases what the sneakers look like in outside lighting. It's a reserved look in comparison to some of the flashier stuff on the market these days—which is the point.

Villa offers a top-down angle, which shows off the snug, comfy fit classics from the early 2000s are known for, not to mention the large Jumpman on the inside:

This clean look is a breath of fresh air for the market. Reserved and featuring the classic look and feel of a bygone era, this sneaker will produce nostalgia and appreciation.

For kicks collectors, a market that becomes more crowded by the day receives a strong boost thanks to an old design updated more than a decade later. It's a noteworthy achievement, and what Nike has up its sleeve next is something to monitor.

Even in the kicks game, sometimes it takes a look back to move forward. The excruciating wait for a remastered classic ends Saturday morning.
