Schroder Expects to Play Limited Minutes vs. Suns
Tuesday, April 7
Chris Vivlamore of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution noted that Schroder said at the time of his injury he thought he suffered a broken toe. Vivlamore added he is "relieved" that it was only a sprain. Per Vivlamore, Schroder "says his toe (left big) is still sore but he expects to play 15 minutes tonight. Expects soreness for awhile."
Vivlamore reported on Monday that Schroder went through practice and was on target to return against Phoenix. Schroder has not played in the team's last two games.
On March 31, Vivlamore reported that Schroder's toe isn't broken and not believed to be serious. Vivlamore added that the diagnosis is officially a sprained toe and is "most likely" day-to-day.
Schroder Leaves Game vs. Bucks
Monday, March 30
Vivlamore reported that Schroder would be unable to return against the Bucks after getting injured. According to Andre Aldridge of SportSouth, the 21-year-old hurt his left toe. Vivlamore provided an update after the game:
Heading into Monday, Schroder was averaging 9.9 points and 4.2 assists a game. He's also added a three-point shot to his repertoire of late, making 1.3 a game in the month of March, per ESPN.com.
Although Schroder is only the backup point guard, he's a key cog in the Hawks' rotation. It will be important for Atlanta that his toe injury isn't serious and that he makes a quick return ahead of the playoffs.
