Daily Fantasy Basketball 2015: NBA DraftKings Best Lineup for March 29th

Tyler ConditMar 29, 2015

There are only nine NBA games today, but DraftKings has kindly divided those games into two slates. One early, one late.

I took some liberties and built two lineups for you. So this article should technically be titled, "best lineups."

*One note: This article goes live at 8 a.m. ET. Some players will be ruled out and others will become "great plays" between the scheduled publish time and the start of the games. I suggest following any players' eligibility both on Twitter and with DraftKings' red indicators (located below and to the right of each player name) to ensure the best possible monetary outcome.

Jarrett Jack ($4,600) vs. Lakers

Sabermetricians cannot love Jack's game. He dribbles a lot. He mostly shoots long twos. He doesn't close out on opposing point guards like he used to, and his teammates tend to stand around a lot while the ball is in his hands.

All that said, he's still a pretty effective offensive player. Nets starting point guard Deron Williams missed practice yesterday and is listed as questionable. Check out Jack's numbers with and without Williams in the lineup.

Today the Lakers come to Brooklyn. Per DraftKings, they're the worst team in the league against point guards. Jack should feast.

*If Deron Williams does play, he'll be a more viable option at $5,800.

Stack the Minnesota/New Orleans Game

Minnesota is about two more injuries from letting coach Gordon Bombay run the point. (I know, weird hockey reference in a basketball column, deal with it.) Against Houston on Friday, Minny dressed only eight players.

All of their starters are inexpensive and logging huge minutes. They also push the rock down the floor (ninth-fastest pace) and play porous defense (dead last in defensive efficiency).

All of those factors should make for a monster fantasy night from both the Timberwolves and the Pelicans.

George Hill ($7,300) vs. Mavericks

C.J. Watson ($4,200) vs. Mavericks

Point guards have been quite successful against Dallas despite Rajon Rondo's reputation as a "lockdown defender." According to draftkings.com, Dallas is allowing the fifth-most fantasy points per game to opposing floor generals.

Quick tangent: We all agree that the Rondo trade was a net negative for Dallas. You just don't tinker with the best offense in the league (and one of the better offenses in league history). Now Dallas knows that.

Good, back to the topic at hand. Hill and Watson have been playing well recently and should see a fair amount of time on the floor together in two-point-guard lineups. Hill is big enough to handle most off guards, and they can take turns guarding Monta.

Hill has been playing really well lately. He's filled up the stat sheet consistently, and tonight should be no different.

Watson is cheap and plays above his value consistently.
