Spurs Have Depth to Account for Ginobili's Absence
Ginobili is off to strong start this season in a bench role, as he is averaging 11.7 points and 20.6 minutes per contest.
It's tough to say how much Ginobili's injury will truly affect the Spurs on the court. He hasn't been an every-night starter for some time, making a combined 10 starts over the last four years.
Aging has also robbed Ginobili of some of the dynamism he had earlier in his career.
With that said, the ability to bring in such an experienced veteran scorer off the bench is a major luxury for San Antonio.
The Spurs have a strong cast of starters, though, with LaMarcus Aldridge, Tim Duncan and Tony Parker leading the way.
San Antonio also boasts some solid depth in the backcourt in Danny Green and Patty Mills, both of whom figure to see increased minutes in Ginobili's absence.
As long as Ginobili is 100 percent for the playoffs, few Spurs fans will bat an eye when he misses games of this nature.
