Dirk Nowitzki Says Steve Nash Overcame Being Slow, White, Injured and Unathletic

Two-time MVP Steve Nash announced his retirement from the NBA after a career filled with accolades earned while playing on three teams. One of those teams was the Dallas Mavericks, where he played alongside another MVP, Dirk Nowitzki

Nowitzki and Nash both joined the Mavericks in 1998 and played together until 2004 and are still close friends. ESPN.com's Amin Elhassan caught up with Dirk, who reflected on Nash's career and jokingly discussed Nash overcoming adversity against all odds:
