Toronto Raptors vs. Chicago Bulls: Live Score, Highlights and Reaction

Garrett JochnauMar 20, 2015

The Chicago Bulls routed the Toronto Raptors at home, Friday night behind Nikola Mirotic's 29 points and 11 rebounds. Beating the Raptors 108-92, the Bulls moved a half game ahead of Toronto in the Eastern Conference standings.

After hurting his back on Wednesday, Kyle Lowry dressed for Toronto but did not play.

Chicago jumped out to an early lead thanks to hot shooting from Mirotic and beautiful interior ball movement by the big men. Joakim Noah tied his career-high in assists, logging 14. He also finished with 10 rebounds and eight points.

Pau Gasol notched 11 points, nine rebounds and six assists. Mirotic, whose game-high 29 points is tied for the best scoring output of his rookie campaign, also logged a game-high 11 boards and four blocks.

Taj Gibson made his return after missing ten games with an ankle injury, scoring six points and grabbing three boards in 10 minutes of action. He looked explosive in his limited playing time.

Mike Dunleavy dominated the Raptors as both a shooter and a slasher, adding 21 points of his own.

DeMar Derozan scored 27 for Toronto, with the bulk coming in the first half when the Raptors' offense looked dominant enough to hang with the Bulls'. The team went cold in the third quarter and—despite a 9-2 run to open the fourth period—ultimately could not come up with the defensive stops necessary to slash the deficit.

Patrick Patterson and Greivis Vasquez—who got the start in favor of Lowry—finished with 17 and 11 respectively, the only other Raptors to notch double figures.

With the win, the Bulls take hold of the East's third seed, while the Raptors drop to fourth.
