LeBron James Passes Mark Price for Cavaliers' All-Time Assists Leader

Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James surpassed Mark Price for the franchise's all-time assist record during Tuesday's game against the Dallas Mavericks.

James' combination of size and athleticism allows him to get to the rim at will and score in bunches, but he's established himself as a prolific passer despite playing the small forward position.

With fellow All-Stars in Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving flanking him and J.R. Smith also spacing the floor on the perimeter, there are opportunities abound for James to set up his teammates.

Chris Haynes of Northeast Ohio Media Group observed how James' ability to get into the lane was hurting Dallas' defense:

Entering Tuesday's contest, James was leading Cleveland with an average of 7.3 assists per game. With how explosive of a scorer James is, it's incredible that he's set the Cavs' assist mark at 30 years old and has plenty of basketball left to build his lead in the record books.

This is just another milestone to add to James' epic legacy. All that's missing from his stints in Cleveland is an NBA championship, which he's keen to deliver in the coming years. The Cavs are now the No. 2 seed in the East, so their chances at a title should improve with more home-court playoff games.
