Daily Fantasy College Basketball 2015: DraftKings Lineup Advice for March 9-10

R. Cory SmithMar 9, 2015

The start of conference tournaments means another busy week for daily fantasy owners. There isn't a huge slate of games—only three total—but the rosters still pack plenty of punch. Before the ACC and West Coast Conference games tip off, here's a look at one optimal lineup and players to target.

G Codi Miller-McIntyre, Wake Forest ($8,200)

This one is a bit of a no-brainer. Not only is Codi Miller-McIntyre the best player for Wake Forest, but he also faces a weak Virginia Tech program. Whether he's scoring himself, distributing the ball or hauling in rebounds, Miller-McIntyre does it all for fantasy owners.

Over his last three games, Miller-McIntyre has averaged over 30 fantasy points per game. Even at a huge price tag for a guard, the Wake Forest player is worth the cost. Against a Hokies team that ranks 257th in the country in points allowed (69.4 per game), expect him to shine in the ACC tournament.

G Justin Bibbs, Virginia Tech ($5,800)

Freshman guard Justin Bibbs is one reason why Virginia Tech might be on the rise in years to come. His value to fantasy owners is still as a No. 3 guard, but Bibbs has been playing well recently.

Bibbs spoke about his team's approach heading into a matchup with Wake Forest on Tuesday, via Mike Barber of the Richmond Times-Dispatch:

The emerging star for the Hokies has played over 20 minutes in the last six games and was on the court for 31 against Miami. Averaging 19.2 fantasy points per game this season, Bibbs should give owners great value against a porous Wake Forest defense.

F Stacy Davis, Pepperdine ($9,000)

NEW YORK, NY - DECEMBER 20: Stacy Davis #5 of the Pepperdine Waves attempts a shot over T.J. Cline #10 and Terry Allen #15 of the Richmond Spiders in the second half of the Gotham Classic at Madison Square Garden on December 20, 2014 in New York City. (P

He's not Kyle Wiltjer, but Stacy Davis has been equally as outstanding for Pepperdine this season. With Wiltjer potentially sitting out in the semifinal, via Jim Meehan of The Spokesman Review, this should be a game where Davis can take over down low.

Davis also has a chance to make history with his performance, via the team's official account:

That may not mean much for daily owners, but it does for Davis. He'll likely be looking to eclipse that mark, which will make DraftKings players ecstatic. With 34.5 fantasy points or more in his last three games, look for Davis to try his hardest to propel Pepperdine into the next round.

F Demarco Cox, Georgia Tech ($5,200)

While his last five games have been the definition of an "up-and-down stretch," Demarco Cox is worth the risk. The Georgia Tech forward has three games with double-digit points and eight or more rebounds but also has two others with less than five points.

Boston College has been streaking recently, but Cox has also grown since the two teams' first meeting, in which he had just four points and three rebounds. The Yellow Jackets big man will make his presence felt in the paint with another strong game like he had against UNC in the regular-season finale.

UTIL Patrick Heckmann, Boston College ($5,300)

CHESTNUT HILL, MA - JANUARY 17: Patrick Heckmann #33 of the Boston College Eagles celebrates a shot in the second half with teammate Maleek Frazier #22 against the Virginia Cavaliers during the game at Conte Forum on January 17, 2015 in Chestnut Hill, Ma

Speaking of those streaking Eagles, Patrick Heckmann has been surging down the stretch. Not only has he scored 14 points in two of the last three games, but he's also hauled in at least four rebounds over that stretch.

Heckmann had a solid game against Georgia Tech earlier this season with 12 points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals. If he can equal those numbers on Tuesday for DraftKings owners, he'll be a perfect fit for a utility position.
