Los Angeles Clippers vs. Memphis Grizzlies: Live Score, Highlights and Reaction

Matthew SchmidtFeb 27, 2015

Chris Paul had 19 points and 13 assists, DeAndre Jordan posted 15 points and 22 rebounds and the Los Angeles Clippers handled the Memphis Grizzlies, 97-79, at FedEx Forum Friday night.

The game started out ugly for both sides, with the Clippers leading 17-16 after the first quarter. At halftime, the score was knotted up at 41 as neither team was able to get into any kind of consistent rhythm offensively.

That was until the third period, where Los Angeles finally broke out.

The Clippers started the third on a 21-6 run, taking a 62-47 lead on back-to-back three-pointers by Spencer Hawes and Matt Barnes. The Grizzlies would rally and cut the lead to seven, but each time Memphis made a push, Los Angeles answered with a run of its own.

Paul then made big play after big play in the fourth quarter, including a back-breaking triple to put the Clippers up 86-70 with under four minutes remaining.

Jordan made the Grizzlies pay for intentionally fouling him down the stretch, making four straight free throws at one point,

Also, Jamal Crawford was huge off the bench, scoring 19 points off 8-of-16 shooting.

Zach Randolph led Memphis with 20 points and 10 boards. The rest of the starters were miserable.

Marc Gasol started 0-of-6 from the floor and ended up going 5-of-12, and Jeff Green went 0-of-6 for the whole game. Mike Conley was awful, as well, shooting 2-of-11.

The win by the Clippers snapped their four-game losing streak to the Grizzlies.
