The Indiana Pacers Are Freezing Inside the Wells Fargo Center
Our nation is currently a howling landscape of snow and misery, and it's apparently reached the point that even professional ballplayers can't escape the deep freeze.
Exhibit A of winter's horribleness are these photos tweeted by Paul George on Friday afternoon. The injured Indiana Pacers star sent out what amounts to a collage of pictures showing his teammates donning hoodies, beanies and sweatpants for an early shootaround ahead of Friday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
We don't know exactly what the problem is, but a quick application of Occam's razor would suggest the 76ers have traded the Wells Fargo Center's heating unit for a conditional first-round pick in 2024:
Now, I know a serious rebuilding effort is underway in Philadelphia. I know the roster was further stripped for spare parts and copper wiring Thursday. But come on—it's freezing outside. There are so many Clovers in the atmosphere.
Please warm up the joint, guys. And check Sam Hinkie's car for heating coils and a sheaf of trade proposals written in Comic Sans.
Dan is on Twitter. His space heater may explode today.
