Daily Fantasy Basketball 2015: DraftKings Rankings, Picks for Tuesday, Feb. 10

Eric MackFeb 10, 2015

Everyone likes playing daily fantasy when the prize pools are bigger, but less games mean less variables to weigh and more manageable lineups that can help you increase your odds of cashing at DraftKings. We get you started with the rankings and picks by position here at Bleacher Report.

PG Mike Conley, Memphis Grizzlies ($6,900)

He has been building up his minutes of late since returning from his wrist injury, going over 30 minutes in each of his past three, and draws the Brooklyn Nets with a struggling Deron Williams ($5,000). The Nets are 24th at DraftKings against point guards, so this should be another solid night for the Grizzlies floor leader.

  • Ramon Sessions, Sacramento Kings ($4,000)
  • Derrick Rose, Chicago Bulls ($7,500)

SG Jimmy Butler, Chicago Bulls ($7,800)

He is no James Harden ($10,300), but he is a cheaper alternative to the Houston Rockets star. Butler is coming off a 27-point performance and has scored over 40 fantasy points in four of the past five games. Still under $8,000 at DraftKings, there is some value here, particularly if you bank on consistency in recent games. The Kings are merely middle-of-the-pack against shooting guards, too.

  • Gerald Henderson, Charlotte Hornets ($5,100)
  • Joe Johnson, Brooklyn Nets ($5,400)

SF Trevor Ariza, Houston Rockets ($5,700)

The Rockets-Phoenix Suns game tops the Las Vegas over/under lines Tuesday night at a whopping 215 points, per Odds Shark. You are going to want to get some pieces of that shootout. Short of merely advising you to pay the premium for Harden, Ariza looks like a nice price here, too. The Suns are 27th against small forwards, and Ariza is posting consistent minutes and fantasy points that belie his price. Even if Ariza doesn't score—he struggled with his shot last time out—he fills the stat sheet like a mini-Matrix.

  • Josh Smith, Houston Rockets ($6,400)
  • Derrick Williams, Sacramento Kings ($3,000)

PF Ed Davis, Los Angeles Lakers ($4,900)

Davis has had his moments, but the Lakers' losses of late—most notably Jordan Hill (hip)—have opened the door for consistent minutes for Davis. He is no all-star, but he can be a big part of the Lakers' big-man rotation and keep his minutes, points and rebounds fairly consistent in the 25-15-10 ranges. He is going to be a decent value anywhere up to $5,500 for as long as Hill remains out. It should also be noted the Denver Nuggets are 30th at DraftKings versus power forwards.

  • Kenneth Faried, Denver Nuggets ($5,900)
  • Jason Thompson, Sacramento Kings ($3,200)

C Jusuf Nurkic, Denver Nuggets ($4,500)

This one is about upside. Nurkic earned 34 minutes against the Oklahoma City Thunder last time out and came through with 16 points and 14 rebounds. The rebuilding Nuggets need to keep feeding this 20-year-old Eastern European 7-footer minutes. DraftKings hasn't yet adjusted his price amid some flirtations with double-doubles before his past outing. It helps he is facing the lowly Lakers, who are thin in the frontcourt with Hill out, too. The Lakers were middle-of-the-pack against centers with Hill anyway.

  • Joakim Noah, Chicago Bulls ($6,600)
  • Robert Sacre, Los Angeles Lakers ($3,700)
