Daily Fantasy Basketball 2015: Best NBA DFS DraftKings Lineup for Sunday, Feb. 8

Eric MackFeb 8, 2015

Football Sundays might be over for half a year, but the NBA fills the void for us with some daily fantasy basketball action at DraftKings. This is a fairly full nine-game slate on tap for us, and it is made challenging by the fact the games are spread out from 1 p.m. ET through 9 p.m. ET starts.

We will help you set your best evening lineups, ignoring the potential options from the Los Angeles Clippers at Oklahoma City Thunder (1 p.m. ET) and Los Angeles Lakers at Cleveland Cavaliers (3:30 p.m. ET). Mixing those players in with those from the nightcap is just too challenging because of the danger of players being on the wrong side of game-time decisions.

Heck, play daily fantasy lineups from the two early games separately, but hone in on the bigger prizes with the later games.

PG Ramon Sessions, Sacramento Kings ($3,000)

Sessions is the benefactor of the Darren Collison hip injury that kept him out of Saturday's action. You don't need many minutes or points out of a player at the basement of the DraftKings price structure, but Sessions will contribute close to 30 minutes. He could also flirt with a double-double as the assist leader of the Kings offense if Collison is completely ruled out before game time. It certainly helps the Phoenix Suns are 26th against point guards, per DraftKings.

  • D.J. Augustin, Detroit Pistons ($7,000)
  • Isaiah Thomas, Phoenix Suns ($5,200)

SG Kyle Korver, Atlanta Hawks ($4,900)

There pickings are slim at this position, but we like the value here of Korver, especially coming off a hot night shooting threes Friday. Korver went hit five of nine threes and is facing a Memphis Grizzlies team that is merely middle of the pack against shooting guards at DraftKings. We see Korver cracking the 30-point mark for a player priced under $5K.

  • DeMar DeRozan, Toronto Raptors ($7,000)
  • Eric Bledsoe, Phoenix Suns ($7,800)

SF C.J. Miles, Indiana Pacers ($4,600)

Before you say, "Wait a minute, the Charlotte Hornets are No. 1 at DraftKings against small forwards," know this: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (hamstring) is likely to be out, according to the Hornets' official public relations Twitter account. That is a good defensive presence out of the equation for Miles, who is coming off a 41-fantasy-point performance Friday night that helped so many daily grinder cash. Miles is still a bargain at his price.

  • P.J. Tucker, Phoenix Suns ($4,200)
  • Josh Smith, Houston Rockets ($6,100)

PF Pau Gasol, Chicago Bulls ($9,300)

Here is our premium play of the night. Not only are the Bulls going to beat on the lowly Orlando Magic and their sketchy big-man rotation—the Magic are 22nd against power forwards at DraftKings—but Gasol has been a consistent double-double machine. Gasol went over 51 fantasy points Saturday night despite playing just 28 minutes. He should have plenty in the tank here.

  • Amir Johnson, Toronto Raptors ($3,800)
  • Marcus Morris, Phoenix Suns ($3,700)

C Joakim Noah, Chicago Bulls ($6,600)

Yes, we like both of the Bulls' primary big men in this matchup despite the back-to-back. The Magic are just 25th against centers at DraftKings, too, and Noah was held to two points and 25 minutes Saturday night. He rebounds here and trumps his modest price that is still being held down by his prior injury. He come out looking like a bargain here.

  • Nikola Vucevic, Orlando Magic ($8,500)
  • Gorgui Dieng, Minnesota Timberwolves ($5,500)
