Daily Fantasy Basketball 2015: Best NBA DFS DraftKings Lineup for Feb. 3

Eric MackFeb 3, 2015

There are five games on the DraftKings daily fantasy basketball 2015 slate for Tuesday, Feb. 3, but like a Sesame Street skit, only one game is doing its own thing. The Golden State Warriors at the Sacramento Kings game has a Las Vegas total of 217.5 points, per Odds Shark, while the rest figure to be more defensive games closer to 190.

There should be more intriguing scoring options coming from the Warriors and Kings as you set your DFS lineup.

Bleacher Report presents its daily review of the best option(s) by position.

PG Trey Burke, Utah Jazz ($4,900)

Burke's price is as curious as the Jazz's decision to start struggling 19-year-old Dante Exum over him of late. Burke is coming off a 29-fantasy-point performance and has his price under $5K. He represents an opportunity for players to load up at another position.

Like the Jazz, we would like Burke to do something other than heave shots, too, but those seven assists and 34 minutes off the bench last time out suggest the message is getting across.

Burke told The Associated Press (via USA Today):

"

I'm starting to get used to it, but I don't really feel like I've got a new role. Coach still wants me to play the same. I'm still playing the same amount of minutes. Even though I'm coming off the bench, I feel like I still need to bring that same mentality. Still need to come out and compete, just be aggressive.

We understand to be a really good team in this league...you have to have guys coming off the bench that can score the ball and make plays as well. Most of the good teams, you see their bench, they have guys that can be starters.

... He basically told me, 'I'm just holding you accountable. I know it's going to make you stronger. He told me, don't think you're just going to be coming off the bench the whole season. It's something we talked about, but I understand why. I know I have to bring more to the table.

"

The price is right, along with the minutes, motivation and time to buy low on Burke here.

  • Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors ($10,300)
  • Damian Lillard, Portland Trail Blazers ($8,600)

SG Tyler Johnson, Miami Heat ($3,900)

The best part about breaking up the Miami Thrice? Opportunity. Johnson stepped forward amid the absence of Dwyane Wade (hamstring) and Luol Deng (calf) with big minutes (27) and posted a 13-point, nine-rebound, four-assist, two-block performance last time out. Deng might play, but he won't be 100 percent. Johnson is another way to fill out a roster if you're short on the bottom line.

  • Klay Thompson, Golden State Warriors ($8,500)
  • Wesley Matthews, Portland Trail Blazers ($5,800)

SF Draymond Green, Golden State Warriors ($7,500)

There are a slew of good options at the small forward position, so we suggest this is the spot to spend the premium on a potential 40-plus fantasy-point guy. Green is the cheapest of them and has flirted with a double-double in four of his past five games. He gets it in this tilt against the overmatched Kings. The offense doesn't have to be there for the stat-stuffing Green either.

  • Jerami Grant, Philadelphia 76ers ($3,000)
  • Gordon Hayward, Utah Jazz ($8,100)

PF LaMarcus Aldridge, Portland Trail Blazers ($9,400)

Because we backed the savings in the backcourt, we will ride the highest-priced power forward on the board at DraftKings. Aldridge had two big performances once he decided to play through his thumb injury and took the pressure off the gas a bit last time out, posting a mere 18 points. We expect him to get his 25 and 10 here against the Jazz as our premium play of the night.

  • Jared Sullinger, Boston Celtics ($6,500)
  • Nerlens Noel, Philadelphia 76ers ($5,200)

C Hassan Whiteside, Miami Heat ($7,700)

We scoffed at Whiteside's 24-rebound performance and suggested he was going to slump back to reality. Sure, shaving 15 rebounds off your total for your next time out is slumping back, but Whiteside took over offensively with Wade out, scoring 20 points. We are done working against the phenomenon that is H.W.

Heck, play both Whiteside and Chris Bosh against a Detroit Pistons team the Heat are competing directly with for one of the Eastern Conference's final playoff spots. These are the games the Heat have to come to play for, and they will be doing it without Wade and with a gimpy Deng.

  • Chris Bosh, Miami Heat ($7,800)
  • Andrew Bogut, Golden State Warriors ($4,800)
