Damian Lillard Will Be 'Re-Energized' After Being Left off of All-Star Roster
Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard has had a strong start to the season, averaging 21.8 points and 6.2 assists per game. Unfortunately, that apparently wasn't good enough for him to make the All-Star roster.
The 24-year-old was not selected as a reserve for the Western Conference All-Stars, but before the announcement, he talked about how he'd feel if he wasn't selected.
“If I do make it, I’ll be excited,” Lillard told Casey Holdahl from Forward Center. “I’m looking forward to being in another All-Star game. If I don’t, I’m going to be pissed off and you’ll see a re-energized Damian Lillard after the break. I’ll be re-energized anyway, but if I don’t make it, you’ll see it even more.”
After being left out, Joe Freeman from The Oregonian got a quick quote from Lillard.
The Portland Police Department didn't seem to be too happy with Lillard getting snubbed too.
It's safe to say that Lillard will have some extra motivation in the second half of the NBA season.
