Lil B Says His Curse on Kevin Durant Still Alive, Will Sit Courtside to Heckle

Kyle NewportJan 27, 2015

Time heals some things, but it can't get rid of "The Based God's Curse" that rapper Lil B placed on Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant a few years ago.

Durant sent out a tweet that questioned how Lil B was "relevant" back in 2011, and the rapper responded by placing "The Based God's Curse" on the basketball player. As of now, the curse appears to be real and alive. Durant has yet to win an NBA championship.

Lil B, a Golden State Warriors fan, isn't backing down from the curse now.

In a WarriorsWorld podcast (skip ahead to the 27:30 mark), Lil B was asked about his feud with Durant. That's when he revealed that the curse is still alive and that Durant has been avoiding him.

He was also asked about what he would do if the Warriors and the Thunder met in the playoffs this year. He responded by saying that he would buy—buy, not accept "buddy" passes—courtside seats to the playoff games so he could cheer on his Warriors and heckle Durant.

Lil B would be happy if Golden State won a title, but he would probably enjoy the title run a little bit more if the Warriors knocked off Durant and the Thunder in the process.

Also in the podcast, the rapper revealed that he's not worried about LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, either. With Golden State sitting at 36-6, he is pretty confident that his team can match up with anyone.

If Lil B really wants the Warriors to win the championship, he should test his luck and place a curse on the other 29 teams in the league. That could help prove once and for all that "The Based God's Curse" is real.
