Ricky Rubio's Says He's Staying In Spain... He's Bluffing..

Everyone knows about the Ricky Rubio situation.

Recently Ricky Rubio has stated that he would rather remain in Spain, to lower his buyout over the next two years.

And call me crazy, but I think that by him publicly stating that, it's truly genius... just like his passing skills.

Why would he say this?

There's no indication that DKV wants him to stay, especially after the potential lawsuit, the Spanish IRS, and his desire to play for the NBA.

He would say this publicly to lower the buyout cost.

Why would this work?

DKV needs money, and they need money now. They owe the Spanish IRS millions of dollars, which is why Rubio cannot get out of his contract.

By Ricky Rubio staying to fufill his contract, he then gets the money that is owed to him from his contract for each year, and on top of that, DKV get's no money at all. So to make a long sentence short, DKV loses.

In a desperate need for money, you will take what you can get. Ricky Rubio knows that DKV needs money, so he will state that he wants to stay at DKV. But DKV knows they cannot afford to do that right now.

Thus, in order to get Ricky Rubio out, they will lower the cost of the buyout.

My prediction is that Ricky Rubio will be in training camp for the Wolves this upcoming season.
