Carlos Boozer Shoves Roy Hibbert Down to Court, Says Hibbert Is Not a Tough Guy

Kyle NewportJan 5, 2015

There is no love lost between the Los Angeles Lakers' Carlos Boozer and the Indiana Pacers' Roy Hibbert.

The two big men went head-to-head for years in the Eastern Conference when Boozer was with the Chicago Bulls. Boozer switching uniforms apparently hasn't helped the two become friends.

In the fourth quarter of Sunday's game at the Staples Center (an 88-87 Lakers win), things got a bit heated. Boozer sent Hibbert to the floor with a push, and the Pacers center took exception to that. Hibbert got up and shoved Boozer, and the two were quickly separated.

Referees issued a technical foul to Hibbert, and Boozer received a flagrant-1 foul.

It was easy to see that Lakers star Kobe Bryant wasn't a fan of the refs' decision to give his teammate a flagrant foul:

Here's what the Black Mamba had to say about the call after the game, per ESPN's Baxter Holmes:

Both Boozer and Hibbert also talked about the incident after game, per ESPN Radio LA's Beto Duran and The Indianapolis Star's Candace Buckner:
