Kevin Garnett gets it, you guys, but he's far from flattered.
The above dunk would be exciting enough to get any fan buzzing, but given that Garnett is 38 years old and in his 20th NBA season, it is particularly noteworthy.
Just don't tell Kevin that.
After the crowd exploded when he threw down a commanding alley-oop dunk off a feed from Brooklyn Nets teammate Sergey Karasev, his teammates went wild, and commentator Ian Eagle even exclaimed, "Karasev to KG—going back in time!"
Garnett had this to say about it:
Kevin Garnett: "This is a low moment for me. Everyone is like, 'Oooh, you dunked!!'"— Tim Bontemps (@TimBontemps) December 30, 2014
KG on his alley-oop: "Look, I can actually dunk. You start in the NBA, you should be able to dunk. Get the hell out of here with that."— Rod Boone (@rodboone) December 30, 2014
KG: "I know I’m like 150 years in dog years, but I can actually dunk the ball. Like G-- damn. Do I look that bad out there? God man."— Rod Boone (@rodboone) December 30, 2014
