Nike Unveils Christmas Day Editions of LeBrons, Kobes and KDs
Some of the biggest names in the NBA will be wearing special holiday-themed sneakers on Christmas Day.
Nike has unveiled special editions of signature shoes for LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant. Each signature shoe got a makeover just in time for the holidays.
LeBron 12 Akron Birch
The LeBron 12 Akron Birch includes a camo pattern that was inspired by James' hometown of Akron, Ohio. The pattern represents Akron's winter weather and includes a birch tree pattern. Also, there is a small snowflake design on the tongue of the shoe.
James and the Cleveland Cavaliers play the Miami Heat on Christmas.
Kobe 9 Knit Stocking
The Black Mamba's shoes are designed to help him on the court. The Kobe 9 is the first basketball shoe to feature Nike Flyknit technology, which helps him move around easily and stay light on his feet.
Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers host the Chicago Bulls on Dec. 25.
KD 7 Egg Nog
Durant's holiday-themed shoes pay tribute to his childhood. There are glossy flecks on the shoes that were included in order to represent egg nog, Durant's favorite holiday beverage. A shoutout to his birth year (1988) is included on the inside of the shoe.
The Oklahoma City Thunder host the San Antonio Spurs on Christmas.
The Christmas collection will be released to the public on Dec. 26.
