Gasol to Play vs. Warriors
Monday, April 13
Ronald Tillery of GoGrizzlies.com reported that Gasol "will try and play" this evening against the Warriors.
On April 11, Grizzlies sideline reporter Rob Fischer reported that Gasol sprained his ankle and would not return for the second half of Saturday night's contest against the Clippers.
If Gasol is forced to miss significant time, Kosta Koufos would have to step up in his place. Koufos is averaging just over five points and five rebounds per game this season.
Memphis needs to rest up now with the playoffs right around the corner. Mike Conley, Jeff Green and Tony Allen are already nursing injuries, and adding Gasol to that list is the last thing the Grizzlies want to see happen.
If Gasol's ankle injury lingers past the few remaining regular-season games, Memphis' playoff outlook will take a major hit.
