Andrew Bogut commented on his injured knee and recovery in a column for Sportal.com:
"It has been a frustrating few weeks because I would love to be out there helping the team.
Watching from the sidelines, I can definitely see how I could help if I was out there.
It’s disappointing, but I also know that it’s part of the NBA grind.
Last season I got hurt at the wrong time and I missed our playoff series so it’s about being smart and being out there at the right time.
I’m rehabbing and I should be there soon.

Bogut Injures Knee vs. Timberwolves
Monday, Dec. 8
Golden State Warriors center Andrew Bogut is once again an injury question mark after leaving the team's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves with a knee injury on Monday.
Rusty Simmons of The San Francisco Chronicle provided further details about his latest potential setback:
After the Warriors' 102-86 win, Simmons provided an update from Bogut:
Bogut is no stranger to stints on the sidelines. He hasn't played an entire regular-season slate since his rookie campaign in 2005-06. When healthy, he's normally a highly effective player in the post on both ends, but keeping him on the floor has obviously been an issue.
The Warriors have tried to limit his minutes since he arrived from the Milwaukee Bucks. It hasn't had much of an effect. He did play 67 games last season before it got derailed late due to a rib injury. So far this season, he's already dealt with minor hip and eye issues.
Interestingly, the one thing the talented center has maintained over the years is that he wasn't going to change his style. He uses an approach that relies on a lot of contact, and while that's helped him develop into a solid player, it's also played a role in the various ailments over the years.
He held firm in his stance based on comments passed along by Antonio Gonzalez of The Associated Press coming into the season.
"I'm not going to change the way I play," Bogut said. "The way I play is I take charges, I block shots, I set hard screens. Unfortunately, we don't wear padding or anything like that, and every now and then we're going to get a knock."
Those are contributions that have allowed him to become a more complete player. Yet they also make it less of a surprise when he gets hurt.
While Golden State awaits more information, the extra frontcourt minutes figure to go mostly to Marreese Speights and Festus Ezeli. Speights has been the more effective of the two in limited action so far this season and is capable of filling a short-term void.
As for Bogut, the Warriors should be pretty much on cruise control for most of the year. As long as he doesn't suffer any type of major injury and is healthy once the postseason rolls around, that would be a positive for an otherwise very strong squad.
More information about his latest ailment as it becomes available.
