Hood Suffers Foot Injury
The franchise's official Twitter account passed along the latest on Hood:
Hood, 22, was a first-round pick by the Jazz after a standout season with the Duke Blue Devils. During his six games played this season, Hood registered four points and 3.3 rebounds in just 15.2 minutes per game.
Jody Genessy of the Deseret News noted comments from Hood on the injury:
Luckily for the Jazz, they have depth at the position with Alec Burks and Dante Exum. Given the way Gordon Hayward has played this season, Utah shouldn't struggle to find offensive production without Hood.
Currently sitting at 5-7 in a tough Western Conference, the Jazz will need Hood back for the depth he adds. Heading into a tough stretch including the Golden State Warriors, Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Clippers over the next two weeks, Hood's lengthy absence will be a huge loss.
