Hollis-Jefferson Ruled Out for Remainder of Saturday's Game

According to the New York Post's Tim Bontemps, Hollis-Jefferson suffered a sprained right ankle. The severity of the injury is unknown at this time. 

Hollis-Jefferson said, per Rod Boone of Newsday, that he doesn't think the injury is serious, and he could play before the team's final three preseason games are up.

Hollis-Jefferson has tremendous athleticism, is a strong rebounder and has great intangibles, all of which are traits that will help the raw rookie realize his NBA potential. It is also the type of effort and hustle Brooklyn needs on its current squad.

At least the Nets have plenty of depth to bring Hollis-Jefferson along slowly as he recovers.

Expectations have to be low for the former Arizona college star as he tries to establish himself in Brooklyn's rotation. It is crowded right now with the likes of more experienced players such as Bojan Bogdanovic, Wayne Ellington and Markel Brown.
