Josh McRoberts Intentionally Rips Open His Heat Jersey During Game

Kyle NewportNov 2, 2014

It may not be too odd if the Houston Rockets' Dwight Howard rips open his jersey, given that he has taken on the "Superman" nickname. But when Miami Heat forward Josh McRoberts did it during Sunday's 107-102 win over the Toronto Raptors, it was just perplexing.

McRoberts ripped his jersey after he was unable to secure a rebound. It looked like his frustration gave him quite a bit of strength.

As it turns out, McRoberts apparently didn't rip his jersey on purpose. McRoberts explained what happened, per Joseph Goodman of The Miami Herald:

Miami's Dwyane Wade thinks his Heat teammate better start working on a new signature.

Of course, McRoberts had to take a seat with his shirt ripped.

That type of thing doesn't happen every day. However, it has happened before. Former NBA center Darko Milicic once intentionally ripped his jersey during a game.
