Kevin Durant's Cryptic Tweet Has People Buzzing About Return Home
LeBron James has returned home. Is Kevin Durant the next NBA superstar to do the same?
Many have wondered what Durant will decide to do if/when he hits free agency in 2016. The 2013-14 NBA Most Valuable Player has plenty of talent around him in Oklahoma City, but the Washington, D.C., native may be intrigued by the idea of playing for his hometown Washington Wizards.
On Monday, the 26-year-old sent out a tweet that had some thinking he'd sign with the Wizards at some point in his career.
ESPN's Britt McHenry was referring to this new Beats by Dre commercial featuring LeBron James and his homecoming. Durant attended Montrose Christian High School, located just outside Washington, D.C.
KD could be hinting that he will have a homecoming of his own in the future, or maybe he was just saying it's only a matter of time before he gets a similar commercial of his own. Only the reigning MVP knows what he meant by his original tweet.
Durant has since sent out another tweet to clarify his previous one.
With that, Thunder fans can breathe a sigh of relief. For now.
