Broncos' Peyton Manning Breaks Brett Favre's All-Time Passing Touchdowns Record
Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning wasted no time breaking Brett Favre's all-time record of 508 career touchdown passes, needing just four offensive drives in Sunday's 42-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers to record his first three touchdowns of the game.
Manning, who entered the contest with 506 career touchdowns, led the Broncos 56 yards on their first possession, which was capped off by a three-yard scoring strike to a wide-open Emmanuel Sanders.
The Broncos' second drive covered 59 yards in just three plays, with Manning tying Favre's record on a 39-yard touchdown pass to Wes Welker.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
After Denver's third possession surprisingly resulted in a punt, Manning led a masterful 11-play, 80-yard drive to put the Broncos up 21-3 in the second quarter. The record-setting 509th touchdown pass was an eight-yarder to Demaryius Thomas, who would later score from 40 yards out for the 510th touchdown of Manning's storied career.
Right after Manning broke the record, the game was paused to acknowledge his accomplishment though all in attendance were already quite familiar with the significance of Thomas' touchdown.
With the Denver portion of Manning's career shaping up as the most fruitful part from a statistical perspective, the obvious follow-up is to wonder just how far beyond Favre he can go.
On pace for 51 touchdowns this season, Manning would finish the year with 542 for his career if he maintains the current pace. As crazy as it may seem, we can't rule out the possibility that he could reach 600 by the end of next season, though it would require an unthinkable three-year stretch of 164 touchdowns.
To reach 600 by the end of 2015, Manning will essentially need to twice replicate his record-smashing 2013 campaign, which is likely what he has in mind.
