Steelers' Heath Miller Records 500th Career Reception
Though the event may have gone unnoticed in a wild game full of records, Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Heath Miller caught the 500th pass of his career during Sunday's 51-34 win over the Indianapolis Colts.
Averaging fewer than four receptions through his first seven games of the season, Miller entered Sunday's contest with 493 catches for his career, needing a lofty seven to reach the milestone.
What followed were the perfect circumstances for the veteran tight end to get there, as Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger completed 40 of his 49 pass attempts for 522 yards and six touchdowns in one of the more entertaining games so far this season.

Miller finished the afternoon with seven catches for 112 yards and a touchdown on eight targets, hitting the milestone on his final catch of the game, an 11-yard scoring reception with under six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.
Said touchdown gave Roethlisberger six for the afternoon, setting a franchise single-game record, per the team's official Twitter account.
Miller's touchdown catch also represented Roethlisberger's final completion in a game that saw the veteran quarterback record the fourth-highest single-game passing yardage total (522) in league history, per Pro-Football-Reference.com.
Though the 32-year-old tight end has put together an impressive career, the ball used for his 500th catch may end up being requested by the Pro Football Hall of Fame because of its association with Roethlisberger's historic performance.
