Peyton Manning, Julius Thomas' Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 6
At the age of 38, Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning remains among the elite signal-callers in the NFL. Meanwhile, tight end Julius Thomas has emerged as one of the quarterback's favorite targets, and that was wildly apparent in Week 6.

Efficient as ever, Manning recovered from a slow start by torching the Jets secondary for three touchdowns midway through the fourth quarter. He found wide receiver Demaryius Thomas from one yard out in the second quarter, and followed that up with two scoring strikes to his tight end.
With three passing touchdowns on the day, Manning is quickly approaching Brett Favre's all-time record. Dan Hanzus of Around The NFL appears to fully expect the record to fall in Week 7:
Considering Manning anything but an absolute top-end starting fantasy quarterback would be an abomination. He should remain in starting lineups no mater the opposing defense.
Speaking of streaks, Manning's tight end is on one of his own. Thomas found paydirt twice on Sunday, bringing his total to nine on the season. Just how good is that number through five games? Take a glance at this telling comparison, via Sam Farmer of the Los Angeles Times:
Thomas has become an absolute stud at his position over the past two seasons. He's earned his status as a top-notch TE1 and should be started with confidence on a weekly basis.
