Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Harry Douglas was helped to the locker room and is considered questionable to return to Thursday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after suffering a foot injury late in the third quarter.

Though it was not initially clear whether Douglas hurt his knee or foot, the Falcons gave his prognosis just before halftime:

Douglas was injured on a four-yard completion to running back Jacquizz Rodgers. It was unclear how he was injured, as the sixth-year receiver was not directly involved with the play. He was attended to by trainers on the field before going back to the locker room.

While the severity of his injury is unknown, Douglas was having obvious difficulty walking on his left leg and needed assistance from one of the trainers. He caught two receptions for 14 yards before exiting, including a three-yard touchdown for the game's opening score.

Atlanta was leading 35-0 at the time of his injury, so it's highly unlikely the team risks further injury by forcing him back into the contest. The Falcons were already without stalwart Roddy White, who was ruled out of Thursday night's game with a hamstring injury.

With White and Douglas sidelined, more responsibilities will be foisted upon Julio Jones and Devin Hester, each of whom already had massive first halves. Jones caught an eight-yard pass for a touchdown in the first quarter and was well over 100 yards going into halftime. Hester was responsible for both of Atlanta's second-quarter touchdowns, running the ball in from 20 yards out and taking a Michael Koenen punt 62 yards to the house.

That said, Hester left the game late in the second quarter with cramps and is also questionable to return:

It'll be interesting to see how the Falcons choose to handle their wideout spot with such a big lead. Eric Weems and Courtney Roby may see more extended playing time than expected.

Amid injuries to Jones and White last season, Douglas stepped up and became the Falcons' leading receiver. He set career highs in receptions (85) and yards (1,067) while being one of few positives in a frustrating 4-12 campaign.

"I was down last year. I wasn’t there to help my teammates," Jones recently told reporters. "I feel great, man. I feel like I’m 100 percent right now."

Jones' role will only grow with Douglas out. The former Louisville standout had 10 catches for 107 yards in the first two games of 2014. Douglas and White have become something resembling co-No. 2 targets behind Jones, one of the league's finest downfield threats.

If Matt Ryan has to play without both long term, the Falcons could be in trouble. Odds are they'll be just fine kicking back and relaxing for the rest of Thursday night's blowout.
