Ever since it was revealed that San Antonio Spurs star Tim Duncan had a brace featuring a Punisher logo, fans had to be hoping that the Big Fundamental would one day appear in Marvel's The Punisher comic books.

Anyone who was hoping that it would happen is in luck. BlackJack Speed Shop recently announced on Facebook that Duncan would be featured in a special edition of The Punisher:

Ok Tim Duncan and Punisher Fans; this is what you have all been waiting for!

...

We are proud to announce a very special release of The Punisher featuring TD!!! Tim and BlackJack will also be building a replica of the car featured in the comic! Want to win this Car??? All of the proceeds from this auction will be donated to a local San Antonio Charity!

There was also a glimpse of things to come:

For those who haven't seen it before, here's Duncan's Punisher knee brace:

Many NBA players would be fun to see in a comic book. Obviously, Dwight Howard would be a logical choice to be put into a comic book, as he would star in Superman. Other than Howard, Duncan—given his knee brace design—makes the most sense to appear in one.
