Updates from Tuesday, Sept. 16

Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun updated Asa Jackson's status following his injury in Week 2's matchup vs. Pittsburgh:

Original Text

An already depleted Baltimore Ravens secondary will be down a man for the rest of their Thursday night game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The team announced that cornerback Asa Jackson suffered a concussion and won't be returning:

Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun had more after the game:

As ESPN's Tristan H. Cockcroft pointed out before the game, the absence of Lardarius Webb already left the Ravens coaches scrambling:

Losing Jackson only exacerbates the problem. He's listed as Webb's backup in the Ravens's official depth chart.

You can bet that the Steelers will look to take advantage of Jackson's injury in the second half and exploit it at every opportunity.

Baltimore's clinging to a 10-3 lead going into halftime, so one score will change the game. The Ravens have an uphill battle ahead for two quarters as they look to compensate for their holes in the secondary.

Ben Roethlisberger isn't a prolific quarterback, but he has more than enough weapons at his disposal to capitalize on a weakened pass defense.
