NBA teams that have won at least one title will be honored in a cool way next season.

To recognize past champions, those 19 teams will have a gold designation on the back of their jerseys during the 2014-15 season. Graphic designer Conrad Burry spotted the addition while looking through the Adidas catalog that retailers will use for the upcoming season.

The Boston Celtics (17) and the Los Angeles Lakers (16) have a pile of championships, but they will reportedly only have one gold mark on their jerseys. That means fans won't be able to tell if the Chicago Bulls (six) have more titles than the Dallas Mavericks (one) just by looking at the uniforms.

Although soccer teams use a similar system to denote World Cup titles, none of the four major North American sports leagues have done something like this before.
