It's official: Jabari Parker has joined the Jordan Brand.

The NBA draft prospect has cozied up with the Nike family, tweeting out a picture Thursday morning hinting at his decision to sign with the shoe brand. Parker's tweet included a gold Jumpman tie pin and the caption “#Family.”

The Jordan Brand has confirmed the deal, retweeting Parker’s picture and sending out a message of its own.

The Chicago native is a natural choice for the Jordan Brand. He told ESPN's Andy Katz that he expects to go second on draft night to the Milwaukee Bucks, which will make him one of the most high-profile rookies from this uber-hyped draft class.

We can probably assume now that a Jabari Parker edition of Jordan kicks will be available by the start of the NBA regular season this fall. The only question remaining, of course, concerns what colorway the brand will go with for its first design.

Perhaps Cleveland wine and gold? Milwaukee green and sadness?

Either way, Parker is already having the biggest day of his young life. Suffice it to say, a Nike contract is just the beginning of the deals this young man will strike in the coming months. We’re still waiting for Jabari bars, mister. Patent it while you can.
