NBA Rumors: Latest Buzz on Potential Draft Deals and Selections
Joel Embiid has suffered a foot injury, and the fallout could lead to any number of changes on most general managers' big boards.
Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski indicates that sources fear it could be a fracture.
Previously, Embiid was considered the front-runner to be selected No. 1 overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers. If his durability is deemed to be a serious concern, his status is certainly in jeopardy.
How Far Could Embiid Slide?
Depending on the severity of the injury, Embiid could fall out of the lottery altogether. That's probably the worst-case scenario, though.
Simply slipping out of the top three is more likely. That's only a reality because the draft has three other top-notch prospects that teams will covet more than Embiid with his durability concerns.
Don't look for Embiid to fall lower than sixth, when the Boston Celtics select.
The Boston Celtics Don't Have the Best Offer for Kevin Love

It looks like Kevin Love is headed out of Minnesota. Nothing is official, but when the part-owner and new head coach says, "you're either part of the problem or part of the solution," per ESPN.com, to his disgruntled star, there's been a line drawn in the sand.
Where Love lands if he leaves is still anyone's guess.
Contrary to popular belief, the Celtics may not have the best offer to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Kevin Love.
"Though recent reports speculated that the Celtics could offer the Minnesota Timberwolves the most attractive package of players and draft picks for All-Star forward Kevin Love, league sources told the Globe Wednesday that other teams can and are expected to offer more enticing deals.
"
One source said: "They’re not even in the top three," per Holmes.
Despite the fact that Minnesota could lose him for nothing in free agency after next season, the team isn't without leverage.
Because there are so many potential suitors, the Wolves can bump up their asking price. Because of this, teams might choose to call Minny's bluff and wait until the All-Star break, when the Wolves might be more desperate to unload Love.
Denver is in the Mix for Love

Is one of the teams said to have a better offer than the Celtics the Denver Nuggets?
According to Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald:
A deal that includes Chandler, Faried and potentially Afflalo sounds enticing, but the No. 11 pick would make it really grand—even if that meant the Wolves had to part ways with Kevin Martin.
This is an interesting deal to think about, but does Love want to play in Denver long term? If not, it seems unlikely the Nuggets would want to rent him for such a high price tag.
