Magic Johnson Makes Classic Magic Johnson Claim in Tweet About Heat and Spurs

Kyle NewportMar 7, 2014

Making predictions on Twitter can end up backfiring, unless you make it tough for you to be proven wrong.

The Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs squared off on Thursday night in a rematch of the 2013 NBA Finals. Both squads are among the favorites to win the championship this year.ย

Last night's game had NBA legend Magic Johnson thinking about this year's NBA Finals:

Classic Magic.

On the surface, the tweet comes off as "duh." It would be tough for either the Spurs or the Heat to win the championship without getting to the NBA Finals.

If you think about it for a little bit, it does make sense if you consider the Spurs and the Heat the two best teams in the NBA. One of those teams could make it to the NBA Finals and lose, but that's not the way Magic sees it.

Regardless of how much you think about it, the odds are in Magic's favor on this one.
