John Wall Videobombs Trevor Ariza for Jolly 'Happy Holidays' Message

Gabe ZaldivarMay 31, 2018

Trevor Ariza's postgame interview just wasn't festive enough.

Thankfully, there were a couple of guys looming behind the scenes ready to give a rather ordinary line of answers a holiday jolt of jubilation.

A tip of the hat to DC Sports Bog's Sarah Kogod for spotting the Wizards at their absolute happiest—at least that's what they seem to be.

As Kogod notes, Ariza is answering some questions after the Wizards' captivating come-from-behind victory over the Celtics on Saturday night, 106-99.

That's when Wall drops in with a videobomb the Miami Heat might begrudgingly appreciate. Because things are going well for the Wizards, Wall felt it necessary to drop a "What's up? Happy Holidays!"

Martell Webster just about loses his mind, and Ariza, well, he's not all that impressed.

Right after the impromptu cameo from Wall, Ariza goes right back to, "It was a team effort. We sat down defensively. We got stops and we got out in transition. You know, I feel we are at our best when we are getting stops and turning them into points."

Kogod spotted a radio interview Wall gave to Dave Johnson. The star guard was more than content to pepper in a few more "Happy Holidays!" before answering some actual basketball questions, which makes sense.

You would be in a fairly chipper mood if you were a member of this squad.

The Wizards are winners of three straight games, and now they get to enjoy a few days off thanks to the holiday scheduling break.

While other teams will lace up the sneakers on Christmas Day, the Wizards get to kick up their feet until their next game on Friday against the Timberwolves.

Maybe we are just caught up with all the cheer, but we are confident things will remain positive for this squad until at least the new year.

All of this goodwill was enough to garner the slightest of smiles from Ariza, who scored 27 points in the victory. If you look closely, you can almost see it.
