Congratulations and well-wishes are in order for the Los Angeles Angels' C.J. Wilson and his lovely bride, Brazillian model Lisalla Montenegro, who were married over the weekend.

News of the marriage floated across the usual manner recently, filling the Instagram and Twitter feeds of the pair's respective fans.

Montenegro tweeted the following exuberant post, announcing that the Wilsons were sports' newest married couple.

And thankfully, she posted a number of pictures from the momentous occasion, archiving all of the fun and festivities for the rest of us whose Save the Dates were presumably lost in the mail.

Wilson was feeling sentimental and posted the following picture:

The poignant caption follows:

Tomorrow is the first day that @lisallamontenegro will be using my name but this photo is from when she first took my heart. I'm beyond lucky to share #wilsonweddingweek with my friends and family and for us to start a new journey together.

According to a couple of tweets from Wilson, the wedding featured some familiar names. Mark Trumbo may have been recently dealt to the Diamondbacks, but he was there to support his buddy, as were Hank Conger, Dane De La Rosa and Josh Hamilton.

Thankfully, race car driver Tyler McQuarrie was in the house to capture some wedding shenanigans performed by the jubilant couple.

According to this Instagram post from Montenegro, the wedding took place over the weekend at Montage Laguna Beach (Laguna Beach, Calif.) and was quite the stunning ceremony.

Now it was a relatively short engagement, because the future wedding was first announced by then-Sports Illustrated Hot Clicks editor Jimmy Traina in May.

Born in 1988, Montenegro has enjoyed a prolific career, modeling for such publications as Vogue, Glamour and Italian GQ, via her official website

Wilson is coming off a strong campaign wherein he posted a 3.39 ERA, garnered 17 wins and 188 strikeouts in just over 212 innings pitched,

While the Angels struggled for the better part of the season, the 33-year-old certainly earned his respite.

The fun has only just begun, because Wilson posted this Instagram featuring his wife at what looks to be an airport parking lot with a caption, "3 hours of sleep and we're off for the honeymoon! @lisallaofficial - time to hit the beach!"

If you are looking for the Wilsons, they are busy enjoying their marriage at some tropical locale. They will be the ones with enormous smiles adorning their faces.
