Golden State Warriors vs. Los Angeles Lakers: Live Score and Analysis
The Los Angeles Lakers improved to 6-7 on the season and 5-3 at Staples Center with a 102-95 win over the shorthanded Golden State Warriors on Friday night.
The Warriors, who were without Stephen Curry for the second straight game, struggled to create offense and space the floor all night long, and were ultimately done in by a hamstring strain that sidelined interim point guard Andre Iguodala, who finished with six points, six assists and six turnovers in 28 minutes.
Pau Gasol led all scorers with 24 points on 11-of-19 shooting and added 10 rebounds to his final line.
Four other Lakers finished in double-figures, including Nick Young (21 points) and Jordan Farmar (14 points, eight assists), who led an L.A. bench that totaled 44 points on the night. Farmar also led all players with a plus/minus rating of plus-21.
As a team, the Lakers shot 47.6 percent from the field and 45.8 percent from three.
Golden State boasted five double-figure scorers as well, but they were far less efficient. David Lee managed 21 points on 7-of-17 shooting while Klay Thompson added 19 points on 6-of-20 shooting (4-of-10 from three).
Andrew Bogut was one of the few bright spots for the Dubs, as he double-doubled to the tune of 12 points and 13 rebounds. He also posted a team-high plus/minus of plus-13.
The Warriors committed 19 team turnovers on the night that led to 22 Lakers points and shot just 41.5 percent from the field in the loss.
Next up for the Lakers is a matchup with the Sacramento Kings on Sunday while the Warriors are set for a showdown at home against the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday night.
